How Monica acquired customers
Tools used to build Blogging for Devs
I started Blogging for Devs as a free newsletter teaching developers how to grow their blogs. It evolved into a paid community and course.
I started by sharing blogging tips on Twitter and collecting emails. The newsletter grew to thousands of subscribers through consistent value.
After building trust with free content, I launched a paid community at $99/year. The first launch made $15K. Later, I added a course.
Developer marketing is unique. I focused on practical, technical content that developers actually wanted to read.
Start with free, monetize later

Niche down - "blogging for devs" not just "blogging"
