Founder stories
Twitter/X scheduling and automation tool for creators and personal brands.
How Samy acquired customers
Tools used to build Hypefury
Samy Dindane and Yannick Veys scaled Hypefury from a tweet asking about thread scheduling to a 7-figure bootstrapped business.
Hypefury started with a single tweet in August 2019. Samy Dindane asked: "Are there any scheduling apps that do Twitter threads?"
When Samy couldn't find a good solution, he built it himself. Hypefury became the first tool to support scheduled Twitter threads.
By December 2019, Hypefury was doing $500 MRR and Samy was handling everything alone. He posted on Indie Hackers looking for a growth co-founder. Yannick Veys, with 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, joined as co-founder.
Together they scaled Hypefury past $22K MRR and eventually to 7 figures. The key was focusing on personal brands and small businesses that rely on social media.
"We're not just on Twitter. We're with you. We also use Gumroad, we're finding ways to build our audience every day, just like you."
