Founder stories
Grant and funding discovery platform for startups and small businesses.
How KP acquired customers
Tools used to build Pocketed
We started Pocketed during the pandemic to help startups find grants and funding they didn't know existed.
During COVID, there was suddenly a lot of government money available for businesses, but it was scattered across hundreds of programs. We built a database to aggregate it all.
We got our first paying customers within 2 weeks through cold outreach - emailing founders and accountants who we knew needed this.
Word of mouth spread quickly. Founders would tell other founders. We raised funding and grew the team to handle the demand.
Timing matters - we launched at the perfect moment
Cold outreach works when you have a genuine solution
B2B word of mouth is powerful
Aggregate scattered information = value
